Observation notes: Just one of many, in the ongoing irruption into the deserts this Fall. Over the preceding few weeks, I have seen scattered small numbers of Snouts on every visit to the desert, while going birding and therefore not closely observing butterflies. This spot had by far the most I have seen. Without making any concerted effort to find and count, there had to be at least 10-15 Snouts.
