Coordinator notes: Bonnie, this and the next 2 are all the same species. Dainty Sulphur is our very smallest sulphur - nothing else is this small. Queen Alexandra's is 3x this size. Perhaps because of its small size and uniqueness most of us don't pay much attention to the details as you have. We do know that males and females look a little different. and there do seem to be seasonal variations as well. I can use your photos to help document that variation in Butterflies of NM. please send me the original for this one . . . which has glorious detail.
