Date notes: Had coastal overcast all day until late afternoon , then clear and aprox 80 degrees when Swallowtail came out of Chrystalis.

Observation notes: Newborn Swallowtail recently out of Chrystalis to his or her right in photo on Golden yellow milkweed. Wings in first photo are still damp and not completely unfurled. Later it flew low and onto trellis one same yard. About 10 minutes later it flew and rested atop neighbor’s roof.
