Observation notes: Two moths day roosting together on our lawn, approximately 18" apart. Clear size difference. Presumed female forewing measured 55mm's. Presumed male forewing measured 45mm's. Male clearly paler overall. Male wing markings and spots less defined, but with more purple on the head. Female banding and spots were more distinct and overall more saturated. Also of note clear difference in wing shape.
