Observation notes: This shot clearly shows the row of spots on the forewing margin that help distinguish P. canadensis from P. glaucus. It also shows how that row of spots forms a mostly continuous band on the underside, but not on the upperside.
This and another half-dozen Canadian Tiger Swallowtails were puddling on the shore of Lake Simcoe.
