Observation notes: This species together with Weidemeyer's Admirals (Limenitis weidemeyerii) were puddling near a beaver pond in an aspen grove. 8920' elevation. Kebler Pass, Gunnison County, Colorado.

Coordinator notes: This is actually a Silvery Checkerspot, not a fritillary. Nice sighting; the majority of the checkerspot sightings in Colorado are Gorgone (which have different markings on the ventral hindwing).
