Observation notes: Raised from egg on Pithecellobium dulce Host Plant, in home garden. Fairly new resident in southern California, first reported sightings in orange county California 2015. Males and Females are so very Different in coloration also variation from Female to female! This is a female, I provided a topside view rarely seen except a quick look when they take flight or when they wave off a male!

Coordinator notes: People may not believe such records are important or they may be protecting their locality information. I think there is a good possibility I may come down there next year again for a few more agarithe. Late summer is really dead in my region and my doctor told me yesterday I need to stay active! I hope for one more trip to the Sierra/Kern River, maybe next week.
