Observation notes: On burdock, Arctium minus. Tiny butterfly. Uploaded 3 photos of same one because it looks like it is feeding on nectar then curling up its proboscis. Can only see underside of wings so not sure of ID.

Coordinator notes: This is the Woodland Skipper - a female. You can find the Pawnee Skipper around Boulder but you need to go to a prairie habitat where Gayfeather (Liatris) is in bloom. There you should not find any Woodland Skippers which occur mostly in canyon and forest or treed locations (including yards in towns near the foothills). Also check the BAMONA site for pictures of the Pawnee Skipper and you can easily see the difference between these two skippers on their undersides. Mike
