Observation notes: It was a sunny day, about 75 deg F. Moth was on the grass in my yard under a white pine tree. Wings were spread wide and measured 3 inches from tip to tip. I put moth in a jar. That night it laid eggs in the jar. Two pictures: 1) top side of moth 2) bottom of moth plus eggs
