Observation notes: The size of this caterpillar was at least 2 to 2 1/4 inches long. Showed aggressive behavior as my husband moved it from the road to safety. We live in Northern Minnesota in Park Rapids (approximately 50 miles south of Bemidji). No real indication of a host plant nearby as we have many both native ditch plants and the road is through woodlands.
