Observation notes: I am sending 2 pictures of what I think may be Pepper & Salt Skipper taken in the Smokies above the end of Tremont Rd, Blount Co. (I have 1 other pic) This was at the edge of a wide trail (old road bed) above Lynn Camp Prong. There is no cane in this area, just big deciduous woods. It was in the gravel and occasionally fled into the forbs only to emerge soon thereafter. Didn't have much time, then lost him.

Coordinator notes: When zoomed in to full size, there is enough detail to identify this as A. hegon. This is the first Blount County record for this species in the BAMONA database. This is the 89th species of butterfly documented in Blount.
