Six new Arkansas moth records from 2007 were added to the database: Anacamptodes defectaria (Logan County, Lori Spencer), Blepharomastix ranalis (Logan County, Lori Spencer), Cyclophora pendulinaria (Logan County, Lori Spencer), Hypena manalis (Sebastian County, David Rupe), Megalopyge crispata (Logan County, Lori Spencer), and Polygrammate hebraeicum (Logan County, Lori Spencer).
A new Google search tool has been incorporated into the BAMONA site. This tool (available from the left menu) allows users to search the content of the entire BAMONA site, including species pages, frequently asked questions, taxonomic groups, checklists, news items, glossary, blog postings, and more. The existing Species Search is still available and can be used to search the BAMONA database for butterfly and moth species by scientific or common name.
The spelling of Polygrammodes flavidalis was corrected.
Four hundred and ninety-two New York butterfly and moth records were added to the database.
A new Big Horn County, Wyoming record of the Columbia silkmoth (Hyalophora columbia) was added to the database from Tyler Teter and Lovell Middle School. (Opler-23June09)

Four new Nebraska records of Cecropia Silkmoth (Hyalophora cecropia) were added to the database: three in Douglas County (Kathy Warren, Barbara Boicourt, Sean and Christine Malloy) and one in Lancaster County (Joe Heatherly). (Opler-23June09)
Three new Kansas moth records were added to the database: Cecropia Silkmoth (Marion County, Arlie Overton), Great Leopard Moth (Johnson County, George C. Sievers), and Great Leopard Moth (Riley County, Andrea Severson). (Opler-23June09)
