Observation notes: A sudden swarm of these appeared under my deck (about 15get off the ground) . I have never seen them before in the eight years we have lived here. The were aggressive, dive bombing us. Three were several dozen of them. I went outside and could not tell whether they had originated under the deck or flew in from somewhere else.
