Observation notes: This butterfly was in my backyard in Warman, Saskatchewan, Canada. It was 30 Celsius, Sunny, windy. I caught it as it landed in my weedy yard. We do have some purple flowered vine-like weeds in the yard. It was very robust and although calm when I brought it inside to photograph it, it became excited when I opened the blinds.
