Observation notes: Nice photos! I took this subpecies in numbers at Frazier Park a couple of weeks ago, it is so rare and unsubstantiated here in Kern County I thought it might have to be removed from the county list. Hope you are doing well Alison. Any luck finding work? Tiny and beautiful! Nectaring on mustard blossoms; sunning itself on the dirt. Initially spotted sitting atop a tiny thistle, about 4-5 inches tall.
