Observation notes: Weather in the high sixties, sunny, after two very cold nights (25 degrees) followed by heavy frost. Butterfly had found one of the few surviving flowers. This is the smallest Gulf Fritillary I have ever seen (theya re common here) -- maybe two inches across.
