Observation notes: 90 degrees mid day. mid to high elevation 2000 ft. small valley in redwood forest near running water stream and pond. tons of these beuatys flitting about. they tended to rest on bright colored objects such as white chairs and a yellow tool.

Coordinator notes: This is not a Lorquin's Admiral which is a similarly patterned species. California Sisters are oak feeders. Lorquin's Admirals use willows. Both can occur along streams.
