Observation notes: This Queen was seen flying with a Monarch at a small patch of Narrowleaf Milkweed at a city park and rest stop in Walker, CA. Observed her nectaring and chasing around a bit with the larger Monarch. Also saw her ovipositing on some low weeds near the base of a Milkweed. After seeing the Monarch from far off, I walked over to take a picture and was surprised to see a Queen. First time I have seen one.
