Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: First observed this small (only about half as large as my previous submission #1366853) when it entered the yard from the south and flew around as I went for a camera. Lost sight of it until I watered close to where it had landed, low in a bunch of globe mallow (Sphaeralcea sp.). It flew directly across the yard to another patch of mallows, landing very low and near the center of the plants.

Coordinator notes: the marks are identical on this one. You note its small size, but that does happen from time to time and is within the range of variation for this widespread species. thanks for submitting!
