Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Partly cloudy, slight breeze temp in low 80s F. Very dry the past 6 weeks. Never seen Queens in this spot (at least the last 4 years) and check it often. White sweetclover has bloomed during the past 10-14 days. Eight individuals seen while I was standing in one spot (sure there was more) nectaring on the thick stand of sweetclover covering the slope down to the dry drainage. i'm not aware of any milkweed in the area.

Coordinator notes: Queens are already penetrating into N NM! you even show in your first image a male going after a female. pretty cool! may I please borrow the terrific images for a brief bit in an upcoming blog post?
