Observation notes: 5710 elevation; hibernating adult presumably from timing. Wing shape (outline) and more brown color seems more consistent with Satyr, but could be wrong here and some wear on wing may skew shape... Did not allow for open wing images. Hopefully this ventral view is enough to go on

Coordinator notes: in addition to ventral color, you can find differences in the pattern of the dark median band where it meets the lighter distal color. that light/dark contact is smooth curvy in Satyr but angular blocky in Hoary.
