Coordinator notes: Satyr and Hoary can be hard to tell apart. A view of the dorsal hindwing is best, but that is not available here. For me, the telling mark on the underside is the dark postmedian line that runs across hindwing and forewing - it is straight on Satyr but irregular on Hoary. Glassberg (2017:221-222) shows some other smaller differences, too.
