California Sister
Adelpha californica

Observation date: November 19, 2022
Submitted by: Vinita Fernandes
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I had my back porch open and all of a sudden in flies this butterfly. You can imagine my excitement as i have been "raising" Monarchs and over this summer had the thrill of accidentally "raising" Anise Swallowtails which are rare to where i live. Anyway, i immediately start video taping as i did not recognize the species and have never seen it around my neighborhood. I am submitting a screen shot from my video taken in my living room. Would be happy to submit the video file but don't see a way to do it.
