Coordinator notes: Similar to Anise Swallowtail which is not a resident species of Missouri. This is a so called yellow form of Black Swallowtail with polyxenes characteristic especially the rounded spots of the forewing marginal spotband. Black Swallowtail can be variable and pinned examples like this specimen can be found at butterflesofamerica.com.
