Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: A small clump of thistle and other flowers in the Elburn Forest Preserve on a cool summer afternoon with mixed sun and clouds were host to at least ten types of butterflies (or perhaps one was a moth); I got photos of eight. Most were interested in the thistle, and a couple in the other flowers, but at least one small white one (that I couldn't photograph) was flitting behind the leaves of a nearby walnut.
