Observation notes: Over about a week and a half period in early September 2016 I found seven monarch caterpillars feeding on honeyvine milkweed that was growing in my garden. Five of the caterpillars made chrysalises and four of those grew to adulthood and emerged as butterflies. Attached is the photo of the second butterfly that emerged from its chrysalis on 09/29/2016.
