Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Sunny, hot and humid, about 85 degrees. The butterfly was flitting and stopping in the damp gravel along the entrance road, which is very weedy and overgrown along the edges, where it exits from between two sections of the swamp. Nearby were hawthorne, sycamore, and locust trees, virginia mallow, wild morning glory, grape vines, mixed grasses, ironweed, and goldenrod.
