Observation notes: Mostly cloudy, about 80 degrees. Along the weedy edge of he dirt-and-gravel road, this butterfly was working on a dandelion. Nearby were also queen anne's lace, black-eyes susan, joe pye weed, chicory, blackberries, lespedeza, cinquefoil, swamp milkweed, mixed grasses; maple, sycamore, oak; honeysuckle, grape, and morning glory vines.
