Subfamily: Gelechiinae
Identification: Forewing yellow with dull brown streaks; no definite pattern--brown heaviest along costa near middle.
Wing Span: 1.2-1.9 cm.
Life History:
Flight: April-August.
Caterpillar Hosts: Burs of burdock.

Habitat:
Range: Maine and Quebec to Florida, west to Ontario and Missouri.
