Observation notes: I have seen evidence of these caterpillars on my milkweed for several weeks now and have seen a few of them. Finally took the time to research them. From the effect on my milkweeds I must have thousands of them in my gardens. The weather is extremely hot and dry for our climate but it does not seem to adversely affect these caterpillars.
