Observation notes: Photos were taken on the windshield of my car, facing South-East. Weather - hazy cloud cover with Sun looking like a frosted light bulb, not distinct. I had just returned from a .4 mile (round trip)to a grocery store, which lasted about 20 minutes. I noticed the moth - on the windshield - at the beginning of the trip and decided to see if he would enjoy the ride. Apparently, he did as he was still in the same spot as I returned from the store and even after unloading the groceries. I decided to get my camera and take a few photos. I checked back about an hour later and he was not on the windshield or anywhere on the car. He seemed to track my movements with his eyes and did not fly away while I took photos from about a 6" distance. All in all, a very heart warming and humbling experience. I have no idea what kind of moth this is. I am curious to learn as I have two other distinctly different photo events of other moths I would like to identify.
