Observation notes: Warm early afternoon (~80 F), no breeze. This species has visited a few times before, but proved frustratingly difficult to photograph because they tend not to stay long. But on this day, I had two visit our Lantana for several minutes each (the earlier visitor had badly damaged wings, so they were clearly different individuals). This one stayed for about 15 minutes, eagerly supping on our Lantana, and giving me an unusually good photo opportunity. I'm pretty sure of the ID, though several very similar Duskywing varieties make it a challenge for an amateur like me.

Coordinator notes: You did good! Nice photos. This is clearly a Mournful Duskywing female.
