Observation notes: This adult was flying quickly all around for many minutes, with few rests. It then spent time on several leaves of a lavatera seedling (Malva assurgentiflora, about 2 ft tall), presumably laying eggs. Then it fed briefly on the flower of a Shasta daisy (Leucanthemum × superbum), before departing. Brightly sunny, upper 60s deg F.
