Observation notes: First batch of flowers, Yerba Buena Mint, with lots of butterflies, and an abundance of Acmon Blues. The one I focused in on first was a pleasant surprise. What was he doing all the way up here? Open grassland with scattered Oaks on the main ridge of the Santa Cruz mountains. Pleasant 77 degrees and sunshine. Russian Ridge Open Space near parking lot.

Coordinator notes: Marine Blues in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties are not new in those counties and I would expect them. They feed on a multitude of legumes and are very common in the San Joaquin Valley-Ken Davenport
