Coordinator notes: As I mentioned yesterday in my note...your suggested ID is correct. Genetics evidently say that damoetus is a species-level taxon and not a subspecies of C. whitneyi. Not sure about the high altitude one in the Sierra...malcolmi since it is in closer relationship with whitneyi. Mike
