Observation notes: Genus Polygonia, habitat is right for satyrus, but it lacks the dark triangel on DHW cell. May be P.oreas or P. gracile? Habitat where found is regrowth forest mostly Douglasfir, cedar, hemlock, red alder, Pacific madronne, scouler willow. Varied understory of many native and introduced shrubs, herbs, & grasses including large stands of stinging nettles.
