Observation notes: Observed about a dozen of these flying near Adobe Creek. This one was nectaring on Salvia in a CNPS demonstration garden. Sunny pleasant day in the 70's with light breezes. Adjacent hills are primarily scrub and chaparral, with Ceanothus and Coffee Berry commonly present.
