Observation notes: Near a floodlight on my deck. This is an early season Eupithecia. Heavily patterned, prominent discal spot, black patch near mid-point of costa, dotted line along terminal edge of both fore and hind wings, heavy dark band on abdomen.

Coordinator notes: This is one of the more common moths I see around where I live. Eupithecia annulata's shape is like the other Eupithecia species, not as rounded as Pasiphila rectangulata.
