Observation notes: It has been an incredible year so far! It definitely can be draining at times, but it’s been worth it so far. Fortunately, my work and class this summer are pretty flexible. I thought that record 1328054 was F. helvalis, but I wasn’t 100% confident. Record 1328055 was indeed small. I think I recall a number of flying ants from last August, but never en masse, albeit my set up wasn’t nearly as productive either. Despite the moon being so bright, this morning produced an astonishing variety! Hopefully some neat ones will pick up further south soon!

Coordinator notes: You might find this link of interest -- https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/88897694 I posted a comment on the BG moth forum regarding this moth but it may take time for the changes to be made if there is agreement. There may be some moths showing up tonight at the lights down here but in the meantime I'm finding that there are a lot of photos to be taken during the daytime, too. Was surprised to recently come up with a new species (new to me) of Bumblebee for our yard.
