Observation notes: Sunny, light breeze, quite warm (finally) for what had been a cool spring. Dry after early a.m. shower. Visiting seemingly randomly various plants in my garden - feeding on none. Nota bene: this butterfly took flight faster than any I've ever seen so my effort to photograph it in flight so as to get a look at the dorsal side of the wings failed.
