Observation notes: Mostly sunny, very dry, slight breeze, temp. in lower 70s F. One seen nectaring on dandelion at ~9,400 ft elevation. Not sure what is going on with the left antenna.

Coordinator notes: Marc, I've reconsidered this observation and I now think it is Uhler's Arctic. Weird antenna aside, though the hindwing is unbanded, the marks that are there do appear in uhler's on occasion. BOA shows an example or two under uhleri uhleri. I considered it chryxus largely because uhler's had never been recorded from Los Alamos County previously; but now that has changed. a county record and a new early date for this species. might be worthwhile going back to that area this next spring to confirm and to get more images. outstanding effort by you!
