Observation notes: Very fast flyer. I do have a blurry picture of the dorsal view that I am including to show the rich azure blue color. Landed on grasses on a path near the South Saskatchewan River

Coordinator notes: While the northern blue and melissa blue are similar and overlap in the area of this specimen, the orange band on the back of the hindwing is bold and there is an orange band on the outside of the forewing as well - more representative of a melissa blue
