Observation notes: The moth is on the dark brown window frame, well-camouflaged. Because of its large size however, it was visible from inside the house. It was a very hot sunny day - high 80s. The gardener was around all day pruning, so I wonder if he might have disturbed this moth from its regular resting spot.
