Observation notes: Two apparently different Speyeria species observed around the same location. Individuals were puddling at wet locations along the road and/or nectaring on flowers such as wallflower (Erysimum capitatum). Around a half dozen individuals seen along a stretch of road over the course of around 20 minutes.
This individual had very metallic/pearlescent spots on the ventral hind wing.
