Observation notes: Saw this flier competing with the Anise Swallowtails for the Calavera "Volcano" hilltop. The color difference with the two was stunning. Landed a couple of times in the Sumac and I was able to still shoot a couple of frames before it flew off to attack again. With the wind blowing in from the ocean, the butterflies congregated (as usual) just off the summit to the leeward.
