Carolina sphinx
Manduca sexta

Observation date: August 27, 2019
Date notes: We noticed this on our patio not near any plant. We noticed it because it looked like a fly was attacking it & the caterpillar kept rolling over & trying to get away from the fly. We do not know what it is or if it is poisonous.
