Observation notes: Looking for a roosting spot at the end of the day in a sloping meadow with lupine, buckwheat, skyrocket, Oregon sunshine, and other wildflowers. Warm, calm, sunny afternoon with temperature in upper 70's F. First two photos made by netting butterfly and placing in a clear envelope. It was released unharmed.
