  Sighting 1152788

Observation date: February 09, 2018
Submitted by: Nancy Asquith
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I think there were more than 20 sonoran blue at the park although I never saw more than 3--or maybe 4--at once. Some had tongues uncurled, but the tip of the tongue would be as likely to be touching the outside of a petal, or a dry leaf, or tiny pebbles on the ground as it would to be touching a nectar source. Mystifying. PS: Submitted to provide a modern record for Santa Clara County.
