Observation notes: Conditions: afternoon, warm (est. mid-70's - 80 F.), sunny. Habitat: edge of patch of mixed pine-hardwoods adjacent to pond, yards; in residential part of town. Butterfly frequently nectared from Redbud blossoms approx 8 to 15 feet above ground, briefly visited flowering plum tree lower down.
