Observation notes: Collected as a third instar larva on Malva (mallow) on 9/13/16 and reared to adult, which eclosed 10/15/16. Interestingly, this and several other individuals that were collected as larvae on Malva were sharing the host plant with the larvae of Strymon melinus (gray hairstreak), another Malva feeding species.
